I am sorry to hear that :console:

What is a masterclass...? I have never heard of one.

Pfft, it is fine, taster days do not matter at all! I went to one and ended up not even mentioning it anywhere on my application since it was not exactly relevant to my subject. :ahee:

Hey, have you thought about what universities you would like to apply to?
    I think it's basically the same as a taster day, I think? I'm sure there's a difference somewhere, but I don't know.:emo:

But just in case it ends up being very useful? :hide:

I am considering wayyy too many universities. Mostly London unis because parents, Oxbridge because parents, but I'm also considering ones like St Andrews and Bath, which I probably won't be able to go to because parents. :moon:

    Got it

It could be useful indeed Also, they have free food at lunch at taster days! (At least the taster day I attended had that. It was quite good, too  )

F*** what your parents want, choose the university that you truly want! :hugs:

What course were you considering again? Was it maths or something related to biology?

P.S.: Come to Exeter and we can be flatmates. :moon:

I would have had free food if I'd applied for a computing taster day. :emo:

I really, really want to, but my parents have too much of a hold over me.

Maths or physics related. Definitely not biology.

They've got a Physics and Astronomy course.

Well, good luck lol and hopefully you'll get your way

Ikr, I hardly ever stay up this late on TSR. My eyes are starting to feel so heavy because of the bright laptop screen in the dark.... Haha! I'll probably regret it tomorrow, though. Lol.

It is alright, more taster days will come. :hugs:

Hahahaha nope. Just get a job, finish your A-levels, and get a better job, then you will be able to rent a flat with other people and what your parents say will not matter anymore.

Exeter has an EXTREMELY wide variety of subjects. For example, my degree name would probably be International Relations and Strategy and International Security with Japanese. Strategy and International Security are one subject, IR is another, and Japanese would be my minor.

If you are not completely sure if you want to do Maths or Physics (or if you are stuck between two subjects), check out their Flexible Combined Honours degree (the one I applied for) They have all the regular subjects and a few more unusual ones like Sustainability, TESOL, Mediterranean Studies, etc. You can even pick up three subjects, and if you dislike one of your subjects, you can drop it at the end of a year and pick up another! There are also options for study abroad or UK work experience integrated in that degree.
