    I've recieved a conditional offer from Anglia Ruskin University and all the require from me is payment and a letter from a reference.
    Can my application be rejected due to my references response?

    It depends on the wording. If it state "satisfactory reference" then that means they want a good one, and will reject you if your reference isn't good. But if it just says "a reference" then no, they can't reject you just because it's bad. However, you should read the UCAS guidelines to make sure that your reference is acceptable. UCAS say
    We also ask them not to choose family members, friends, partners or ex-partners as referees. If this describes your relationship with the applicant, please don't agree to be a referee. The applicant is not permitted to write their own reference.
    so you need to make sure the person you choose is allowed to be a referee.
