One of the most photographed trees in the world? I'm not entirely sure I believe that.

There are plenty of trees that are actually significant for various reasons (oldest/tallest/largest/has an interesting history/owns itself) so I'm not sure why a tree at a university would be more of a tourist attraction.

You've never tried to travel around Cambridge on a tourist-heavy day. Half of Beijing have probably seen that tree.

I've never travelled around Cambridge at all, so no - I've not! At my university we have a tree, indeed a much more impressive tree than the cherry they just cut down. But it gets no tourists, hence my comments!

I believe you. It's just that tourists in Cambridge will gather to stare at blank walls if somebody tells them to.
