I do IGCSES which are equivalent to the GCSES and I don't know if I should sit every subject I do in igcse. I'm not talking about the grades that I will get but the actual grade and exam being present in my academic profile. Each subject is about 150 pounds and I'm thinking of not sitting 2 subjects. I do 7 igcses in total and will sit 5. Will be on a slight disadvantage when being an applicant for universities?

It is very dependant on the subject and university however some degrees require at least a pass in English lang and/or maths.

    E.g.

Some courses demand even more from your GCSEs:

    requirements/#course-profile

EDIT: please notice how these courses are only from The University of Manchester.

Basic requirement for universities is usually a C in English and Maths. This depends on what course your applying to as sometimes they require a B in GCSE Maths.
