mens hair loss

as most men are aware, they are going to start slowing losing their hair as they ageeeeee. but what i want to know, is can you do anythin' to help or prevent it from happening as quickly? because my hair is quite thin, yet i am only 20.

i was thinking maybe there are vitamins you can take which help make your hair grow stronger?

or maybe like some special oils you can rub in to make it stronger?

does anyone know of any sites that addresses the issue?

i don't want to lose my hair :frown:

thanky u

Well, my ex had lost some of his hair, although he was 34 :s But it didn't bother me. I think it's difficult because a lot of sites offering miracle cures (like acne scams which I've shamelessly wasted money on :frown:) are exactly that - a waste of money. Your best bet WOULD be to research vitamins, and find something that helps strong nails, hair and bone. I think Vitamin E is good for that, although I'm not positive. Do some research on the net, but don't type in "Hair loss vitamins" as you'll throw your money away. Find something that's meant to be good for it, and then buy some from Boots. I don't know if it's something you can go to the doctor about, simply because I don't know if it's classed as a medical condition.

Anyway, I'll let someone else get back to you, and in the mean time, good luck, and try not to stress, 'cause that all only make it worse :smile:

i'm 21 and mine's going grey.
Although most of the men in my family snuff it before they make 50. Technically i'm middle aged. :s-smilie:
... meh, sod it.

im 19 and my hair is extremly dry that it starts to fall off. I have a dry scalp problem. Today ive decided that thats it, its uncontrolable and looks a state so im jus going to shave my head (well grade 1). At least this way, i dont have to worry bout, i can put oil on it without having to worry bout my hair looking greasy, its thin as well so hopefully itll be ok becasue its bold anyway.

My dad goes i wont suit the bold look but im not doing it for the looks, im doin it to get rid of some stress,

don't worry about it mate! i've bin losing my hair since i was 15 :O i was briking it at the time, but now that i'm 19 i rearlly couldn't care less! most people don't judge other people by things they have no control over (such as looks or hair loss)! if people start to make jokes about it then just go with the joke, and don't react, otherwise they won't stop!

minoxidil

If a person uses minoxidil to stop hair loss for a length of time and then stops taking the drug, hair loss will occur again.

Other side effects include:

* acne on the area where it is being used as a topical solution
* headaches and/or lightheadedness
* very low blood pressure
* irregular or fast heart beat
* blurred vision
* chest pain

I think I'd rather just go bald tbh.
