I'm a few weeks away from choosing my GCSE subjects but with the new specifications, if I choose triple science I get to choose only 1 Optional subject (art, DT, music, Drama etc.) but if I choose double science then i get to choose two. Now, I pretty much have no idea what either are so if someone could help out and explain both, pros and cons and how it affects future jobs. P.S. im thinking of going towards medicine, and im also not sure how accurate teachers are about the facts i have been given about options.

It won't affect future jobs, but if you're thinking of doing medicine then you should be good enough to take triple and get strong grades in them.

I would say take triple, unless you have an optional subject you think you would get an A* in.
