Right basically , I decided to take the same course as my brother at the same Uni , he applied back in 2014 , so I used a few opening sentences from his personal statement as I only had 2 days left to apply and had no personal statement.

But UCAS detected some similarity , about 9 sentences throughout the whole personal statement.

What should I do? Withdraw my application or not?

Thinking back I should not have left it till the last 2 days to apply ;/.

    Any advice is appreciated!

Contact your universities and ask then what they recommend. They may ask you to submit a new PS to them directly that doesn't include stolen content.

Hello , thanks for your reply! I am not sure what exactly to say to them , I was thinking about emailing them via the contact us section. I mean The top part of the personal statement is where most of the sentences are highlighted red , the whole middle paragraph is fine , the last part of the personal statement has about 1 sentence in red.

What exactly should I say to them?

    The truth

You stole content from your brother's PS because you were rushing to meet the deadline.

    Don't email - phone.
