Sadly unlikely I'm the oldest and we moved up north in 2007! We coulda known each other at primary school but Grimsby is a big place!
The local weatherspoons smelled of puke ahahah I remember being 5-6 years old and seeing it all over the floor there. :doh:Typical.
Still the place has good memories so I'd like to go back one day.
Grimsby ain't big, everyone knows everyone

But yeah, come get drunk with us

The vegan stereotype. Most people believe vegans won't shut up about being vegan, and force their opinions on everyone, but most people don't know I'm vegan unless they try to offer me food. I know I can't change anyone's opinions, unless theyre asking me or are interested in animal rights...
Are you a vegan? You never mentioned it

Would be great to go out on the sesh in Grimsby. Cheap alcohol is a good enough reason to go.

You can leave Grimsby but Grimsby never leaves you.

I thought it would be funny to have a thread for what stereotypes you break rather than one that you fulfill.

It could be a stereotype about the country you're from, the city you're from, the uni you study at, or anything you want... But let's try not to get this into a flame war lol.

I'm Asian and I'm not good at Maths :hide:

    Discuss.
    Me too!

I can't cook Chinese cuisine properly and can't speak the language fluently.

      Home-schooled and can socialise.
      Writer and extroverted.
Modern female and disagree with feminism.
English and don't drink tea. And I like the rain and the moderate cold.
      Christian and not brain-washed/'bigoted'/totally-unable-to-cope-with-real-world.
      Hockey player and not super-fit.
I have an unspecified number of brothers and get on well with them.
And I talk to and respect my parents.
And I don't swear or think it's OK.
Or do lots of things that most people do.

      Probably more but I can't immediately think of any . . .

'Smart people get good grades' Umm... Being smart alone is not good enough, you still have to put in a certain level of effort. Sure, it's easier for me to do well than it is for some others, but that doesn't mean I'll do well regardless.

To be fair, though, I did no revision for GCSE and missed almost 3 months of school during year 11, and still got AAABBCD.

At least not for long as we end up going back again. Can't stay away from cheap alcohol and fish and chips for too long.

Think it gets a bad rep tbh, I liked Grimsby!

I'm brown - what more is there to say?

'You're Asian, you're supposed to be smart' 'Do your parents own a corner shop?' 'Are you a Patel?' 'No? Are you a Shah then?' etc.
