    I'm about to start IB and I really want to go on after IB to study either history or politics.
    I'm thinking of taking these subjects;
    History HL
    Economics HL
    Spanish B HL
    English Language and literature SL
    Math SL
    And either bio or ESS SL

    My question is, are there any specific courses that the top universities are looking for when you're applying. And is have a "soft" subject like ESS 'bad' even if you're not going to study it at university?
