    Hi there,

Over the last couple of days at work I've noticed my right wrist has been aching when sat at the computer at work. Today I have felt it less, but during the last hour I could feel it was bothering me a bit. On the NHS pages it seems to be quite serious. Have any of you got/had RSI and if so, at what stage did you go to the doctor about it?

It may take a bit more than 30 mins for the right people to come along to see your thread, but in the meantime...

RSI can be a pretty serious and intrusive long term condition, but there are some good treatments and also other conditions which can seem similar and last less time. Things like a strain from injury for instance.

Depending on the level of pain I'd suggest you can wait a bit before seeing a doctor. You might find that a pharmacist can help you before you need to see a doctor. Osteopaths can also be really good with things like RSI so if it lasts longer you might like to see one of them.

For now i'd suggest you try painkillers, warming the area and trying to give it some rest. If it's something you have only noticed within the past few days and not any earlier it is probably something more temporary. If it lasts about a week or gets worse it would probably be worth seeing a doctor.

Hope that helps and hope your wrist feels better soon
