Basically I have be asked to bring a bank statement with me for an interview. Can I just take the first page of the bank statement where it shows much money went in and out of the account. or do I need to take all the pages? I don't really want everyone to know what I spend my money on.

Do you really think they care how many porn subscriptions you have, or how many times you go to Pizza Hut? The bank statement is to prove you have a bank account in this country registered with your name and address, that they can pay money into. They won't just not give you the job because you went to Nando's last week, proved by your bank statement.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why not just ask for a bank account number to pay the money into, as is done in the civilised world? And why should it matter whether the account is yours and the address your bank has is the same as the one you gave your employer?

So that you'r employer isn't pay directly into an illegal tax scheme, so your employer knows they're not directly funding terrorism, so you can prove you live at the address you say you do, like you have to do for say, everything in the civilised world?

Try getting a driving license, passport, job, etc without proving where you live and if you have the right to work in this country. If you don't have the right to work in this country and can't prove it with an address and bank account in this country, nobody is going to pay you are they?
