What grates me about Obama more than his actual Presidency (which was, by most metrics, on the tail end of mediocre) is him as a person. The economist Thomas Sowell described Obama as a "glib egomaniac" which I don't think goes far enough. This article from the Weekly Standard gets at my issue with him pretty well.
Isn't the weekly standard an extremely biased magazine? I'm no economist, but seriously, wouldn't a neutral source be better?

I don't see why he, as a person, was a "glib egomaniac." I'm not challenging you or anything, but I'm intrigued. Could you highlight a few reasons why you think so? I'd be interested in that perspective.

I read @ NASA that the Antarctic increase in ice caps does not make up for the arctic depletion of ice caps.
But if it continues at this rate and global temperatures continue to increase some countries or towns could end up under water! Probably in years time but we can't let that happen.
Trump has surrounded himself with climate change deniers and fundamentalist Christians so it's unlikely it's because of a "lack of proof", his pals won't listen. Many of the jobs he promised are in industries such as oil and fracking which isn't great for the environment.
Obama saved many American lives with Obamacare who couldn't otherwise afford healthcare, he pushed for the Paris agreeement, got the USA out of the economic crisis. He was successful IMO but very restricted by the senate and house of reps.
yes the growing of the ice caps hasnt made up for the retreating but theyre still growing. Obama was partly responsible for Benghazi. Are you aware obama literally armed isis with the iran deal which send checks of 150 billion dollars to the middle east?

Obama doesnt have good leadership skills , can you give me an example of him being misogynistic against women or racist against non-whites. The electoral college was put in place to stop 3 states picking who will be president every 4 years -he did win fair and square - anyway lets just thank god hilary diddnt get into office
    Obama has great oratory skills:

    Misogynistic:

    Racist:

Oh, and I don't dispute the validity of his win, he has the complete right to be president but it is undeniable that he divides public opinion.

The Standard is an extremely biased source, but most of the things in this article are verifiably true. Keep in mind this article is only from 2010, two years into his administration, and there were another six years that followed. The things that really stick out in my head from recently is trying to shift the blame for the Libya catastrophe onto Britain (WikiLeaks emails showed it was Hillary's pet project), the whole "back of the queue" thing and, in my mind the worst of all, attending a baseball game in Havana when the rest of the world was mourning the terror attacks in Paris.

Plus, that thing about giving the Queen an iPod with his own speeches on. What the **** is that about?

I'm saying that this comment has contributed to his lack of popularity compared to Obama. If Obama said something similar, how popular do you think he would be?

So because america was already in trillions of dollars debt it justifies him putiing them in even more debt - obama was catagorically the worst president america has ever seen. Hes put america in more debt than every other president combined.
I don't eve like Obama but I still think YOUR stupid. You do know by claiming it was Obama who increased the debt your an absolute moron. There was a republican congress and local republican law makers used austerity. Even though the US budget deficit has fallen , the debt still INCREASES. It is simple math , as long as your running a deficit the debt will( most) of the time increase, the rate at which it has increased has fallen.

This fall in the deficit is due to REPUBLICANS so what your doing here is blaming republicans! Obama had no power. The fall in the deficit has been a good thing IMO but you can't pin this on Obama , although he may have possibly increased the debt more if he had a democratic congress.

Donald trump is following a more regan/keynes approach. He will cut taxes and increase investment. This will create debt. This debt is not necessarily bad depending on your view and economic conditions.
You also forgot to mention the shambles of George W Bush. Trump probably will not reduce the debt and I think your delusional if you think he will!

I am no fan of Obama and I didn't like his presidency one bit. I am actually a tory voter and would probably have voted for the Donald( only as the less of 2 evils) but you are ill informed. Take this as some advice, I would like by fellow right wingers to have a strong argument

from the international business times: 1)most of these things hes saying are true mexicans are sending their rapists and drugs 2) they arnt even racist
from the daily mail : do you not think he was trying to compliment his daughter and maybe did not go the best way about it , you can not seriously say you think he wants to have sex with his own daughter or that he thinks hes above women because of this - there were posts implying hes a peadophile on there, I dont know how youre seriously send me this as "proof of his sexism"

Still not addressed the economic points. It's quite funny you talk economics and when presented with an economic argument you dodge all the economic points and result to English!

I didn't say I support Obama , you still didn't address my point. Because that stimulus made a big impact! Public spending fell. Republicans should take the credit for deficit reduction. You can't even spell ' stimulus'.
You are blaming republicans for the debt, please stop when they reduced the deficit through austerity. Trump is using Keynesian economics and not austerity, he will increase the debt, probably more than Obama but this may not be a bad a thing.

You stupid salty left wing ****er , I knew you would give a response like this. You aren't good at economics , all you do is copy and paste and use the IMF and OCED as your argument . They have got it wrong before and can get it wrong again. I doubt you backed austerity in 2010.
And for the record I'm going GCSE economics this year so go **** yourself.
And here we see the incoherent right-winger return to baseless accusations and name-calling, which destroys any chance of him being debated with in any serious context.

I've told you before and I'll tell you again - do not go around making random claims and arguments when you clearly have no significant knowledge on the subject, nor any skill in presenting a valid argument.

As if GCSE Economics is even close to useful for understanding economics on a macro scale. A Level Economics alone is such a poor subject universities do not consider it a significant prerequisite qualification.

Ok true , GCSE is useless. There are plenty of people with economic degrees that are right wing . If you were so good at economics you wouldn't copy and paste . To try and disprove friedman and other prominent economists you must be ludicrous .Again you ignored my points , I doubt you backed austerity if 2010 when the IMF and OCED backed them. Actually I backed all my points up , you on the other hand just copied and pasted the same thing over and over. To think you won is delusional
