My cousin have applied for MA/MFA Creative Writing at UEA, Bath Spa, Surrey and Lancaster. So far, He got rejected from Bath Spa and haven't heard from other three. How tough is it for a non-native speaker to apply for this program? Do you need to be a writer who has published his work before? How would you rate the four mentioned universities? Thanks you so much, my cousin is really apprehensive now.

Sorry I mean post-graduate not graduate

    MA/MFA Creative Writing at UAE...
If it is UEA, as I suppose, then this is by some distance the most distinguished university creative writing programme in the United Kingdom.

Just like what you say and from what I read online, I believe it will be hard to get into UEA. How about Lancaster? I heard it has good reputation in this field.

Oh I have no idea. It's only that the UEA one is particularly famous.
