    The mark scheme saids " E of redox system 5 is more negative but not than that of redox systems 2&1

    Redox system 5 is +0.17 (positive ?)

    It means hypothetical cell values.

    If sulfur(IV) oxide is being bubbled through then it is the species being oxidised.

    Calculate the hypothetical cell values from Ecell = E(red) - E(ox)

    A positive value means a feasible reaction, a negative value means no reaction.
