I think (still not 100% sure) i might withdraw from the uni I'm currently at the end of this year and go to another in september, do i need to withdraw first and have my current uni contact sfe or can i just start a new finance application for the new uni and not apply for another one for my current?

Apply as a continuing student but with the details of the new course and university (there's a specific question to confirm if your university and course are the same and if not to supply details) - you don't need to have withdrawn to apply for next year.

http://media.slc.co.uk/sfe/1617/ft/s...orm_1617_d.pdf is the form for the current year - the form for 2017/18 isn't available yet

    Hi jen1913

If you withdraw/suspend before the year is out the university will likely inform us of this and we will reassess your funding up until the date you have left the course. this may result in an over-payment if you have a maintenance loan and/or grants.

If they send us a withdraw, you will need to apply on a new student application form. If you suspend and transfer you can apply as a returning student. Please discuss this with your university.

    Thanks
