Should I inform universities of my mistakes before or after I firm and insure? Watch

I put down the wrong exam board and I decided not to resit one of my module exams (because I already dropped the subject long before).

My teacher said that to save time, I should firm and insure and then tell them, since I know which universities I want to go to.

This makes a little sense because I shouldn't waste the time of my other choices.

However, is this really the right order of actions? Could this impact on their decisions?

    Thanks.

You need to do it before. Your unis can withdraw their offer because of this mistake, so if you've already picked your firm and insurance this will be more difficult. They may also be more likely to view it as you deliberately being deceptive.

You need to alert them to mistakes as soon as possible. You have until April to decide which to Firm and Insure. What's your teacher's big hurry?

Do you suggest that I email and talk it through with my prospective universities first about whether I should drop this module? Since it could impact on my offer?

Although none of my requirements actually need this subject.
