hi! i've just been for an interview for a weekend position at greggs today and i think it went okay, but i'm a little worried about being able to take holiday as my parents like going on holiday a LOT... as my mum is spanish we go to spain multiple times a year and the manager told me i was entitled to 4 weekends but i'll probably end up needing about 6. didn't mention this because i was too scared in case she hated me and didn't give me the job haha. but i'm a bit worried about this with part-time jobs in general. if my parents have already booked holidays, can i just make up for this by working during half term/summer/on bank holidays/after school? what if i really need holiday but they won't let me take it???!
this applies more specifically for the works as well, as they also have a vacancy and i may apply. should i apply for the works before i hear back from greggs? i feel like i would be a lot more relaxed if i only had greggs to worry about and then i could apply to works if they rejected me, but i'm also scared i'll miss out on the offer...
thanks for your help in advance!! i've never had a job before, i've only ever volunteered in a charity shop, so i'm really clueless

I Mean you could always take it unpaid but a manager may be reluctant to let you especially if the holidays are close together.. If you already have prebooked holidays its down to the employer if they honor them or not but be prepared for them to be refused if you do ge the job, especially if they were prebooked and close to when you start
