Basically I'm really struggling with spanish, my predicted grade is a B but i'm aiming for an A*. I've already done two controlled assessments and I got a C and a B - I'm taking the third one in about two weeks and I'm scared because i'm not sure if I can get a good grade on this one. We have to send in two controlled assessments to the examiner and I've only got two more tries left - which means I HAVE to get an A* in the next two. Any advice on how to improve my grade? Thank you X

Just re-write your paragraphs out again and again and correct any mistakes after writing them out, and just do this until you know them! If it's a speaking assessment, after you have written them out try and read them out loud and have someone reading the paragraphs and correcting any mistakes! Also try and speak it whilst recording yourself and see if you reach the time you need (as sometimes you may subconsciously speak too quickly), this also helps as if you listen to it you can pick up on mistakes in your pronunciation! I did these things to revise for my speaking assessments and they worked for me so hopefully they might work for you!

You'll be fine! I got an A overall in GCSE spanish, but an A* in the speaking and reading units- my BIGGEST advice would be start learning it EARLY! I'm a perfectionist and I used to spend AGES writing a perfect essay- and then ended up learning it a few minutes before the CA which REALLY stressed me out! Just start EARLY, practice writing the paragraphs until you know EVERYTHING and best of luck!x Lol, I actually used to really enjoy the speaking- just don't PANIC or you'll freeze up and I'm sure you'll be fine!x
