To be fair, most positions in schools (e.g. teaching assistants etc) require some form of qualification for the job.

Yes, I got offered a role, but turned it down because I was going to university and also wasn't really interested in that career (the majority of placements given by my school were retail or in a school/nursery, unless you had good enough contacts to find your own). It was in a nursery. But in my case it was just luck - I don't think I was very good at the job as I don't like children that much and wasn't interested in a career there, I think a role just happened to come up and they probably couldn't fill it straight away so they contacted me. If you are interested in finding a job from it I would recommend that you make it known to your employer/colleagues that you will soon be looking for a job when you finish school and see if you can arrange future work experience with them e.g. during the holidays. Chat to the people who work there and see what career paths they took and if they can give advice on how to develop relevant skills/what qualifications you might need.
