Yesterday I received a text from someone who I slept with in October saying they have an STI and not sure who gave who it. Can I upfront ask if he slept around a lot? I've only slept with one other person before him. Bit worried and kind of want to get a feeling of whether I might have it as it's been a long time since so he may have slept with quite a few people since then.
also going to checked tomorrow!! but a week is a long time to find out so if I get reassurance from him that'd be nice but of course I could have it.

Yeah you can ask him there's nothing stopping you. If you ask him you'll have a better idea if you have it but obviously you'll just have to wait till the results come back. Good luck

If you ask, it may be treated as insulting and/or indignant 'Well, you didn't get it from me!?!' etc. He could have not told you, and it would have been easier not to.
Ultimately it doesn't matter how many other people he's been sexual with: someone you were sexual with three months ago has told you that they have an STI, so your best course of action is to a) get checked (tick!) and b) behave as though you have something too unless and until the tests say otherwise.
Several tests produce 'same day' results and even for the rest, a week's not long to wait.
