Hey,

Do you think it is possible to fall in love with someone you've met or found online? It sounds crazy, I know, but I've been watching this YouTuber recently and I'm honestly spellbound by her. She created these 'vlogs', which for anyone who doesn't know are like video diaries, and consequently I feel like I've really gotten to 'know her', haha, I'm laughing at my stupidity as I type this. We have so much in common and I adore everything about her, her manorisms, personality, outlook on life etc etc. On camera, she ticks all the boxes. It's got so ridiculous that when my phone notifies me that she's uploaded a video I get butterflies in my tummy as if I'm meeting her on a date or something. Hahaha!

I'm really interested to know what people's thoughts are on this. Perhaps it's just some kind of fan obsession syndrome... I dunno! I just know that the way I feel about her feels really raw and true, yet it doesn't make sense.

(I feel like such a fool, haha)

Well I guess so because people do long distance relationships and surely they met online and "fell in love"?
Personally it's never happened to me. I met my boyfriend on tsr but I never loved him at that moment but I fell in love with him when we met and got to know eachother.

Yes I think it's possible to love someone you've not met but not necessarily someone you've never spoken to or interacted with? I think it's just lust or idealising the person in your head at this point and seems kinda unhealthy.

It's not love.

It doesn't sound like it's very healthy for you tbh, you sound obsessed with someone you have never met or will probably never meet.

No not love. You love the idea of this perfect person when in fact they can be totally different in real life.

Don't think so, I'm a firm believer in meeting up with someone who I've got to know online before taking things further. Love can't be defined, in your case, you have 'fallen' in love with someone who you've never even interacted with, not even online or contacted. It's mostly likely admiration and respect for the YouTuber rather than love.

Infatuation...not love
:ditto: and there is actually a difference. It's hard to explain though in my opinion.

nah that's not love. You'd forget about her easily if you stopped watching the vids.
