The most difficult hall to sneak people into is Founders, all the others are easy as they don't have security camped outside the only entrance. You won't have any problems, honestly

so, if I understood correctly there's no reception or something like that in other halls?
I (we) just walk in?
Founders and Kingswood 1 have receptions (and hence security) actually in the halls, new halls reception is next to the hub so security won't be watching everyone who walks past. For the other halls you just walk straight into your block, no worries  you'll see when you get there anyway!

thanks...
Good to know there shouldn't be any problems. I'm in Wedderburn.
Thought it should be ok for sneaking friends in but was worrying about having to force my 15 year old sister to lodge overnight in the Hub's rooms when she vists! She wouldn't have got mistaken for a student. Lol

hmm... what sort of excuse for having a guest overnight would wash with the bureau?

Just remember not to do it in the weeks you've got room checks. RHUL seems pretty good actually, not much talk of wardens and constant room checks. Seems as if the official policy is 'no guest in rooms, they can stay in the Hub' but really they're not too bothered. If it was otherwise it would have put me off RHUL.

You mean you're applying for RHUL's accommodation now? You haven't made your choices yet? I'm afraid to say that as it's meant to be a first come first served thing, it's very unlikely that you'll get a room with an ensuite as they're probably all gone by now.

And with your boyfriend, will he be staying over for long periods of time then? By the sounds of what people are saying on this thread, that isn't going to be possible at RHUL's accommodation as they're quite strict about people staying over. The odd night is probably okay, but no longer than that.

They're not strict at all. honest. dont worry about it. let whoever you want stay over. even in founders you'll have no problem at all getting them in - there are other doors apart from the main reception where security are based!
