Either Brussels, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Berlin or Amsterdam.
I'm looking for somewhere quite cosmopolitan and modern yet still beautiful since it'll just be a holiday for my mum and me in the summer. Also somewhere that is quite culturally diverse so we don't feel tooo much like the 'odd ones out' xD. Is Berlin like this?

I'm leaning towards Brussels, but I know that after around 2 days we will run out of ideas. Any opinions?

Thanks for your reply! How is the city's diversity, if you don't mind me asking?

Given you've said 'cosmopolitan and modern', you've essentially described Berlin. There's all sorts of colours and flavours in Berlin - you needn't worry about sticking out!

Berlin is a great place, and quite diverse from what I remember (though that may be because I was with a pretty diverse group with a split about 40/60 between white and POC). None of the people I was with experienced any racism (I'm assuming from your profile pic that racial/ethnic is the kind of diversity you're worried about), and there seemed to be a good mix. There are quite a lot of tourists there, too, so you'll hear loads of languages being spoken. I was there for four days, on a school trip, so I mostly only saw the historically significant parts of the city, but what I did see was beautiful.

Berlin is a great place to visit. You can visit Brandenburg gate, Reichstag, Berlin wall and Museum Island.
Seriously, ignore all these preconceived notions of Germans being "racist". Germans are not like that at all, you get racist people in every country. I especially like Stuttgart, though, there's not much tourist attractions there.
