Hi, I'm in my last year of college at the moment and have just applied for university doing Aerospace Engineering. I currently take Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and Film Studies. I'm taking four subjects because I thought the 4th subject would be taken into consideration, giving me a lower offer. However I have got a few offers back and it seems I have misunderstood and my offer is based on the 3 highest grades. What I'm wondering is, do you reckon I should drop Film Studies in order to spend more time concentrating on the subjects I need because it isn't relevant to Engineering? I'll still have the AS in it. I know it's quite late in the year to drop subjects but I have only just found out that 4 subjects won't help a huge deal and it'll free up time to focus more on the others?

Thanks in advance for helping out

If you think it will help you to get better grades in your other subjects, you will definately get the AS grade from it and your school will let you, then yeah, feel free to drop it.

I think if you want to drop a subject you have to clear it with the unis you have offers from so it does not invalidate your offers,

You could just continue with the 4th subject but maybe not put as much effort in - or alternatively it's an insurance in case one of your other subjects doesn't go to plan.

Message your uni's about dropping film studies, I'm assuming they probably wouldn't mind at all, that being said only drop with confirmation from your uni's.
