perhaps speak to your doctor about nictonie replacement therapies to help but since you've realized it's a problem when your drunk, for the sake of your asthma you could drink less on nights out?

Perhaps realise smoking is a moronic, unhealthy (especially with asthma), expensive habit? You'll end up costing the NHS thousands and thousands of pounds in the future when you're in A&E due to exacerbation of COPD.

I actually don't think they thought of that. Don't think this had any influence in them asking for advice (not to even look at the rest). Very helpful.

Vaping helped me a lot. You just have to be prepared to deal with a certain amount of mockery from your friends.

Smokers more than pay for the cost of their own care through tobacco duty and the VAT slapped on top of them.

He pays his fair share of tax I'm sure, the tax from cigarettes also. The advice you should be giving is getting up and trying again, learning from your weakness to do better again, I wouldn't recommend nicotine replacements since it's not withdrawal symptoms but just behaviour/habit which can be overcome by dedication. Once you go a certain period of time it gets easier by the day and you'll be grateful for it
