How is (2x^1/2)^3 = 8x^3/2? watch

1. (2x^1/2)^3 = 8x^3/2

I get that 2^3=8, but I don't get how (1/2)^3 = 3/2

Can you please explain that to me...1^3=1
2. indice rules.... when you times powers outside bracket by powers inside bracket, itd be 1/2 x 3/1 so 3/2
3. Using and :
4. 1^3 is still 1, because 1*1*1 is 1.
5. You have to multiply the indices together
1/2 x 3 = 3/2
