That's not what it means.

It doesn't mean "It may or may not be"

it's implying that it is

It is a disambiguation wiki page. So colloquially it may be used to describe any type of Jamaican music.

and i'm saying that's wrong.

Bashment =/= reggae.

At least not anymore. Maybe in the 70s when it was much more similar.

Not dancehall. Absolute banger though.
Reminds me of being young.

I won't post Chi Chi Man for obvious reasons. Instead, some Million Stylez :lol:

Also the classic:

I love this kind of music on those hot summer days. Or I would if I didn't hate my very existence on hot summer days.

Indeed!

This is making go back and listen to some stuff I've not heard in quite a while. I like when this happens.

Haha, why not? My teen years were spent in parks or parties listening to dancehall and grime music. I'm not an expert or anything, but I like what I like.

I didn't know that one. One of my favourites:

Absolute classic indeed.

Unfortunately, for me, dancehall is one of the most annoying genres. Dancehall is either really good, or really bad. The artists are so inconsistent. Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Konshens etc all come out with some absolute junk sometimes. At the market in Birmingham you can get some really good old school vinyls.
