I'm prob the only person who stands outside stiff kitten smoking a cigar if that rings any bells.

I quite like Thompsons, it is dingy but nice,
Aww, but I think I will be more into nightlife closer to Botanic come September.

Aye Thompson's is great for when it's chucking out time everywhere else but you just don't want to go home. So you all pile down to Thompson's, buy at least 3 vodkas before the bar closes and dance like ***** on the stage :woo:

UU is far better for Biology. The two universities are at the same level in Geography, History, Nursing, Politics and Sociology. Queen's is more prestigious when speaking in general terms, as it betters UU in most other subjects.
Before anyone says that Queen's is stronger in one of the above stated subjects, higher entry grades does not automatically mean that their department is better than UU's.

Who honestly cares?

Still end up with a degree in the same subject...still have to pay thousands wherever you study.

UUJ produces higher quality computing science students, according to a certain well known global computing company.

I have Arch at UU as a fallback choice, and the Belfast campus looks nice to me (better than Jordanstown at least :s). Probably will apply to UU for one of my Route B choices too, as I quite like Belfast as a city.

lol, thread necromany.

Gratz on the necromancy....

I have heard (from people in Belfast UU) that most of UU's courses are being moved to Belfast within a few years random bit of info for you

Yep, word has it that UU are shutting the Jordanstown campus and transferring it to Belfast [which in turn is apparently being expanded].

Or so my j'town compadres tell me....

Just as well to be honest. Been up in Jordanstown a few times, the place looks like a prison. Bars on the windows for christ sake!!

Yep I know, though my friends in the belfast campus are worried about it. They do art and dont really want a pile of non artists walking about with their work sitting out on display.

I have visited both on open days.
Loved Queen's and hated Jordanstown.

Although I would check out the individual subjects before applying.
