So, last Friday, I took a fair amount of time moving everything round in my room, in an effort to make it a bit more roomy, more efficient, and just generally more comfortable, and I think I've got most of the kinks worked out, but there's a bit of empty space where I can't really get to very easily because it's near my bed...

My bed is at the bottom of the image, and the red box around those drawers show that the drawers can be moved to the left closer to my desk, which creates about a 90cm gap between the wall and the drawers, and I want to put that gap to good use, as it's got nothing there... the blue arrows show the gap which is what I want to fill!

I need your help finding something that will go there, look nice, modern, relatively cheap, maybe £40 tops - if it's really cool, it can be more expensive...! I was initially thinking some extra storage or something, for bits I don't need to access often at all... but also open to other totally brilliant ideas!

    Thank you

    Here's a picture of it...

That is actually a really tempting idea, if I find one cheap enough I might do that!

Yeh, I could plug one in no problem, it'd just be getting one which is relatively inexpensive, so I'll have a look!

How about: a pretty floor lamp, wooden laundry bin/basket, small bookcase?

Yeh, my mate mentioned a lamp, I just wonder whether it'd get a bit lost in the corner if it wasn't big/grand enough!

A bean bag would be cool actually!! - I'll have a play around with the space, and keep that on the tables!

Haha, the sole use of the fridge would be for ice cream, cheese, and booze :/ Not the most healthy

I've a bookcase around 90cm in width but 6ft in height. Got it for £35 from Argos about a year ago. Houses all my college stuff, books, games, magazines, DVDs, CDs, etc, and other random clutter.

A floor lamp would look really nice there.

I also used to have loads of trailing wires by my desk and stuff and I got a wire sorter thingy, they're really handy if you don't like wires trailing everywhere - idk if that's useful to you though.
