    I have been offered a place on the chemical engineering course provided I achieve AAA (maths and chem included). Could I still be taken if I achieve A*AB, with the B coming in maths and A in chem.

    If those are the terms of your conditional offer, then you need to fulfill them.

    That being said, it is not entirely unheard of to get into your uni of choice with lower marks. All different case by case, so it could all be fine.

    They might be lenient and accept you. My offer is AAB with A in maths and chemistry.
