A team of psychologists is conducting an experiment to determine whether music has a beneficial effect on memory. They conduct an experiment in which 50 subjects enrolled in one section of Professor Benson's general psychology class hear soft music during lectures. Another group of 50 subjects are enrolled in Professor Martin's class, and they do not hear music during the lectures. Each class uses the same textbook and takes the same exams on the same days.

    What is the hypothesis?
What are three weaknesses with this experiment and how they could be corrected?
    IV and DV?
How should the subjects have been assigned to each group?

I'm more than happy to help you out with this, but I don't want to give you the answers! What are you stuck with? What answers have you come up with so far?
