I'm struggling between choosing dentistry or just doing a quick science degree and travelling the world - although that does seem like an unsafe option. What is being a dentist like? Can I take time off to go on holidays? What am I entitled to? Is it worth it? I really really want to travel and explore the world but I also want to be comfortable in life with money etc - not rich, but comfortable. Is there a way I can travel and be a dentist.. I don't want to be stressed..

Hmmm! I wonder if you could look into degrees that are compatible with travelling the world? Apart from being a dentist in the armed forces it doesn't conjure up the image of travel! And as most dentists are self employed then I would imagine they wouldn't want/be able to take long holidays. You can do dental training after a degree- might be a better option for you as you sound quite undecided.
