I am coming to the end of my GDL at BPP. There are good and bad things about studying with BPP and I would happily stay on to do my LPC (better the devil you know!) but I am very swayed by UoL only because of the open book exams. I have a training contract so all that matters is that I do well in the LPC. I don't need the careers services or anything (they are absolutely brilliant at BPP if anyone is interested). All I want to know is.. does it matter whether exams are open or closed books in terms of difficulty and likelihood of doing well? I found in the GDL exams there was no time to open statute books so I had to memorise the law anyway. Any opinions very much appreciated!
