Size: 168.0 KB hi, for this question I don't understand why R and S can't start and end at the same node. Hence, I don't get why the second dummy is used.

    Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is against the rules of a network for two activities to start and end at the same node, hence the dummy,

Thanks, I didn't know that. What other rules are there for this topics if you don't mind sharing.

They should all be in the textbook somewhere, look through the content again. I don't know if there are any more anyway, off the top of my head.

I sympathise because dummies are ironically the most difficult topic in D1 and it feels like there aren't enough questions to get fully used to them in the book but practice as much as you can, plus the exam q's and you should be fine
