My offers are Engineering ( with foundation year) from Bradford and Biomedical Engineering at Middlesex.

I'm on a gap year at the moment so being two years older than everyone else kind of scares me. Bradford is the better university but is it worth doing an extra year or should I just go to Middlesex and transfer for a masters?
Other factors such as student experience would help too!

Why do you need the foundation year is my first question. Which course is more interesting? I'd consider that more important than which uni generally is better as that means very little.

I didn't quite get the grades that I wanted (hence me taking a gap year to improve them), the engineering foundation at Bradford means that I can go on to study Biomedical Engineering. Both courses are interesting but I do prefer Bradford's, again, I'm just worried because I'll be 2 years older.

I wouldn't worry about your age. You need to do what's right for you. There may be a society or group for mature students though if you stop focusing on it that much you may not even notice the age difference. 2 years isn't much!

Okay thank you! I think it's just all in my head, but I act very mature for my age anyway plus I don't drink
