Unsure as to whether I hit a car or not Watch

Parked in a car park today and when I came back to my car I noticed a scrape and dent on the side of my car, but no car around me was damaged and no note was left on my windscreen, so I assumed someone had hit me and drove off. When I came home and mentioned it to my family, they pointed out that I may have hit someone or something else and not noticed. It then got me paranoid because around an hour before I tried pulling into another parking space and thought I was getting close to another car when doing so, so I stopped, reversed out again and tried going in another way, and when I realised I couldn't fit I drove out again and found another parking space. The damage on my car isn't massive, it's only a small amount of paintwork that has come off which can easily be touched up and a slight scuff with a dent, but if I don't know what has happened what can I do?
