i'm taking history, biology, and chemistry a level and i'm thinking of doing philosophy at university (still unsure). I don't have maths as an a level and i'm worried this will put me at an advantage. I'm also struggling with chemistry and thinking of dropping it to take up RS, biology, and history, would you recommend this? i'm really struggling

Not having a maths A level won't put you at a disadvantage. Yes, logic has some mathematic elements but as Philosophy is 'maths in words' it doesn't require mathematic skill but rather ability in logic and deduction. You can do some maths related modules but it's never compulsory.
