We are ants to the trees watch

    • Thread Starter

Ants live something like 15 years, they have no real awareness of us except that we might squash them or come close to them. They might feel the rumble of the floor as we walk past, or see the shade we cast, but there is no way that they can grasp the concept of an entire human being. We are just a part of nature to them.

Is there then not a higher power that we cannot be aware of, but that lives and that observes us, and that may squash us in childish rage occasionally (through lightning, a tornado, or something else).

In what sense can the trees observe us, and is it possible that they represent part of a higher power that we can only partially observe? They live so much longer than us, comparable to the years of an ant and a human.

    Their hands are the pollen
    their heart the land
    their blood is wood
    their vengeance grand.

    All hail Yggdrasil.
