Hi, I am currently reapplying for 2nd year entry, same course different universities, and I had to make a new ucas application. How can I get the reference from my old ucas application and transfer it to my new one so I dont have to request a new one from the referee? Thanks in advance

Double check that you can use the same one. Of course the same Personal Statement can't be used so perhaps that applies to the reference too?

Who knows - you may've changed (for the good or bad) over the past year. Ask your head of UCAS/ email UCAS to get a proper answer.

UCAS allows you to use the same personal statement as long as it is the same course, their system recognises that its from the same person and removes any similarities, thats why I was curious as to how and if I could use the same reference.

Did not know that. Guess you do learn summat everyday (even if it's not at school where I'm supposed to )

you need a new one as your new reference needs to talk about your studying at a university level, so ask your personal tutor for one.

You can't do this. Your reference needs to be added by your referee.

If you want to make it easier for them then you can request a copy of your previous application including reference from UCAS and give that to your referee.

However if you're applying for year 2 entry then your universities are going to want a reference from your current university not a recycled reference from when you were in sixth form.
