    Could someone help me answer these q's please
    1) A small car has a mass of 1000kg and takes 0.05s to stop. Calculate the force on it when it stops from a speed of a) 15m/s b) 30m/a

    F=m(v-u) / t

    a) F = 1000(15-0) / 0.05 = 300000N

    b) F = 1000(30-0) / 0.05 = 600000N

    2) how do your answers to q1 relate to each other? Is there a relationship between speed and force?

    3) compare the effects of mass in the same way. Use a speed of 15m/s and the same stopping time and compare a 1000 kg car with a 2000kg car.

    4) how does the force on a 1000kg car travelling at 15m/s change if it has a longer crumple zone and takes 0.1s to stop?

    2) There is a relationship between change in speed and force. The greater the change in speed per unit time, the greater the force needed.
    3) Mass has a similar effect. Try working it out using the equation for different masses.
    4) A longer stopping time means that the force will decrease. Ft = m(v-u) so if t increases, F must decrease.
