I desire to be a patient person but at times I get angry easily and lose patience. How can I observe patience in difficult times?
I look at ISOC members and realised that the some are so patient like Ash92 and h333 mashaAllah. I want to be as patient too.

I'm a Muslim too, but I fail to see how being "patient" is an Islamic issue? You could have asked this question to anyone on this forum, regardless of their religious beliefs.

Anyway, I used to have anger management issues when I was younger. I've found that regularly working out, meditating and keeping a journal are great habits to reduce stress and negativity.

I'm not a Muslim and I get impatient. This is not a Muslim specific issue.

Take deep breaths when something gets you annoyed, or count to 10. Just anything that relaxes your body so you don't feel too stressed.

Thank you. I wanted to know any tips Islamically too on this matter apart from what you have mentioned to help me out in the long term when these don't work.

    - Remember that life is temporary and that you will die one day.
    - Remember life is a test and be content with you have. Remember that there is someone out there that is living a tougher life than you.

    Salaam.
Everyone can relate to this but it is ok, I feel I know what you mean. You want to know what Islam has to say about this issue and you will be happy to know that Islam has great deal to say about it. All good from Allah swt, I can get impatient too so have to remember Allah swt and strive to remain calm. Anger is from the shaytaan so we should strive to avoid it.

Insha'Allah have a read of this, it is really good and can help you out:

I will quote imam Ali: A moment of patience in a moment of anger prevents a thousand moments of regret.

To have patience has some good effects because you are training your soul to have discipline, it's not by any means easy but just realise that this world is a prisoner for the believer and it isn't the end. When you face any calamities, turn your focus to Allah, and then you will realise how insignificant the issue is compared to his magnificence, you see everything else will become worthless. Try to see the good in things, and you will elevate to the higher levels of patience. Be thankful of Allah's bounties and blessings and put your trust in him in all affairs, he can change your situation in an instant but he wants you to turn to him first instead of his creation. If you have Allah by your side then nothing else would matter and you will be rewarded in abundance for every time your patient.
