    Hi,

What organisation are you doing it through? School? Open centre? It won't be as much as £700 but it will be a lot more than £24. I did mine through school and it cost approx:

    £100 for training weekend.
    £150 for practice expedition.
    £175 for qualifying expedition.
    Any new kit + food.
    Potential cost of residential section.

It really depends how much it is subsidised through the organisation, how much kit you already have or can borrow and whether you pay or go on a free residential.

    Hope this helps
