I dropped out of university at LJMU and have realised how stupid that was but now it's too late so I've reapplied for next year but I'm stuck with the student loan debt of this year and I want to ask, do I have to pay back the money I owe this year for dropping out because I would be going back to university anyway? I would still be paying of uni debt while in uni so is it possible to leave it until I graduate?

You'll be asked to repay any overpayment of living cost loans (so if you dropped out just after christmas then SLC will have paid you for studying up until Easter - so they would want repayment of the money between you withdrawing and Easter ASAP - they'll arrange a repayment plan).

Any loans you received for time you were studying will not be payable until the April after you left (and only then if your income is above the thresholds) - if you go back to university then you wouldn't earn over the threshold and SLC would know you're back at uni so wouldn't demand repayments. The debt from your time at LJMU would be added on to any other loans you take out and you'd start repaying after you finish your course.
