    Hi!
I am a student at Liverpool John Moores. I m 19 and currently in my first year of university.
I currently live at home and commute to university daily. I claim full student loans.

I travel to Liverpool everyday from Wales by train and it takes me about 1 and a half hours. Currently 1 hour and 50 minutes due to the Wirral line. On average this costs me £1500 a year in travelling costs.

Recently I have been told that I am able to claim back some of my travelling expenses, and I have tried looking but I can not find anything related to me, other than if I was an MHS student, in which I am not.

Does anybody know anything that could help?

No, you can't claim travel costs. This is what your student loan is for.
