I'm a first year at uni and have really gotten into photography and videography. I want to make a career out of it by working for myself, making promo videos for small businesses, taking photo's for them, and for people too. Like recording or editing home footage, weddings, holidays etc. and turning it into something memorable for them. The issue is I have no idea how to get my name out there and reach out to clients. Does anyone have any advice?

    Thanks!

I would recommend starting social media platform such as Facebook and Instagram. Take pictures of your friends and family for free and then upload them on your FB or Insta. For video you can do the same too. You have to have lots of example of your work first. There is always events happening at uni so offer to take pictures or video of those events for free first. As time go by you start to charge small amount. Most of your clients will find you online by seeing the example of work you have done.
