Back Squat:
105kg x2
100kg x5 (technically a PR although relative to my 110kg x4 from 2 months ago my actual 5rm would have been around 107kg)

Odd, not sure if my belt was too tight or I drank too much water before the sets, but on the way up I felt like I had one of those crushing hiccups. My work capacity for the volume is far better than for the intensity days atm and my back/front squat ratios are completely off. Couple weeks of 5x5 should fix this hopefully.

50kg 4x6 paused

Isn't that the weird Sheiko rep scheme you're using for OHP? Never understood it myself

Its from NSUNS, my friend told me about it but I can't remember exactly which variation. Essentially a heavy 1+ set on Thursdays then the volume day on the following Tuesday. It's been working quite well for me so far, been consistently adding 1kg to my 1+ sets and getting 4/5 reps each time. Although the volume day is getting tough, 40kg was a deload as I should be on 43/44kg. Might change it to just a 5x5

Yeah I used to run Nsuns, he got it from Sheiko. I switched it out for 5x10 because again, just seems like such a bizarre rep scheme.

Think I'm gunna switch to 5x5 on volume days actually. 5x10 sounds insane, what percentage of your 1rm would you work with for that?

Bit of background:

Been "lifting" since June 2013 but only started training (squat/bench/deadlift) since September 2015.

I had a nagging injury between March-December 2016 (it still bothers me a bit now actually) - basically I pulled a muscle on the left side of my lower back while deadlifting due to lack of mobility in my hips, but I never let it properly rest or stretch it so it never got better. However in doing so I learnt tonnes about mobility and anatomy which then led into an interest in Olympic Weightlifting.

So as of January 2017 I've been training specifically for the Clean and Jerk and the Snatch.

Lifts as of February 2017

Back Squat: 75kg x5
Front Squat: 70kg x2
Deadlift: 110 x1 (w/hookgrip, not maximal effort, I refuse to go any higher in fear of injuries)
Bench: 52.5kg x5

Snatch: 25kg
Clean: 50kg
Clean and Jerk: 50kg
Snatch Balance: 40kg

Current lifts

Back Squat: 120kg x1
Front Squat: 100kg x1
Deadlift: 160kg x1
Bench: 75kg x1

Snatch: 50g
Clean: 85kg
Clean and Jerk: 75kg
Snatch Balance (Overhead Squat): 65kg

Height: ~172cm
BW: 67kg-75kg

Long term goals are to Clean and Jerk 100kg and Snatch 70kg by the end of 2017.

As of now I'm focusing on getting a stronger front and backsquat, along with technique on the oly lifts.
Didn't mean to rep but hows the progress? Whats your weight and height?

Thanks anyway haha. Same height, 172cm, weight around 76-77kg atm.

Not exactly sure what my maxes are, currently I've cleaned 85kg and Jerked 85kg from the rack. Snatch I have no idea really, been working on technique for the past couple of months. Planning to maxout squat, C&J and Snatch in the next 2-3 weeks, should be good to C&J 90kg and snatch 60kg

Ah man, I don't bench much, I do fairly light paused bench once a week, currently at 62.5kg 1x4. Highest I've ever done is only like 75kg (at 72kg BW) back in September last year.

I saw on your profile you're interested in Weightlifting, what kinda numbers are you putting up?

Can't remember anymore but it wasn't too heavy, definitely a doable weight
