Hello everyone, I am currently in year 11 and was recently awarded a 95% scholarship to Harrow School and I will be starting in September. So, I was writing to ask the general public (and to get a bit of a dialogue going) on their opinions on the school or perhaps some advice for someone who does not come from a privileged background and whom has never boarded before.

Any answer would be much appreciated.
    Thank you!
    Congratulations on your offer.

Was this for a scholarship or fee paying placement? If you don't mind me asking, what are your GCSE predicted grades?

Just watch out... they pills you get around there parts are dodgy.

Do you like ridiculous traditions (http://www.harrowschool.org.uk/harrow-terminology), the ridiculous uniform and going to chapel?

Would you be boarding or day? If you're boarding, you could/should consider the competition. If you're good enough to be offered a scholarship there, I'll bet other (just as prestigious) schools would do the same. You might prefer the ethos of some of Harrow's competitors better.

Are you sure? I didn't see you during the shortlisted phase of the Harrow entrance exams. Moreover, they rarely give out 95% scholarships, they've given me one, but there were only 4 other candidates. Remebering their names, the canidates included a Rusian (Alexi), Korean (Andrew) , two Chinese (Alex & a traditional Chinese name), and me (from Leicester). Now, understanding this, let me ask you some questions.

How was the day planned at Harrow?
How many exams did you take?
Who interviewed you? (All members of staff named please)
    Who were the registrars?
What car was outside the admissions office?
    What did you eat?
How long did the day take?
What did the admissions staff give you?
    What happened during the seminars?
Where did you take your exams?

Wow, that's a pretty harsh interrogation. Chill, mate.
