I'm sorry I get hyper quite easily

{hugs ace} You'll be fine, don't worry. Go over things during the course of the year rather than rushing at the last minute.

Awwww noooo Soph {huge hugs}
Can you get to the sorting office quickly do you think?
Shouldn't be too long now.
{see postman outside on his bike and thinks of going and threatening him until he delivers your results}
Call the school if you've not got them in the next couple of hours.

Hmmm I would be sorely tempted to go next door I admit. Don't know if its allowed though. Our upper school rector was being mean to my friend about it yesterday

Well done if you got what you wanted! It does seem a bit unfair to me that the Scots get their results nine days before the rest of us get our A-Level results... gives an advantage with clearing...etc.

Well our school year starts earlier, and we sit out exams earlier so we get our results earlier. And most unis ask people to wait until after A-levels to see if they get accepted anyway.

Thank you Invissy and Priya. Best of luck for your own.

Well everybody the big day is almost here.
Since I may be off comiserating/celebrating tomorrow, or some of you may get results before me, I'm posting a thread for results tonight

Post your results in here (if you want to). Please include subject and the level (e.g. SG English, Int 2 Geography etc.)

Advanced Higher Maths - B
Advanced Higher History - B
A Level Physics - (awaiting)

Did you meet your predictions? No. Predicted AA
If not, are you going to appeal? No, didn't bother going in for any prelims
If you applied to uni, have you met the offer? Yes (unconditional for Law at Durham)
What decisions have you made about any further study? Gap year then Law at Durham
What made you pleased/disappointed about your results? Dissapointed, could have done better.
Anything you would have done differently in the past year if you could have done them again? Might have worked harder this year but was hard to as I worked hard for my highers and taking a bit of a rest was just too tempting.
Could you look at the results first or did you get a parent to? Me first
What time did you find out your results? A bit past 10 i think (stupid postal service)
Did you feel nervous? Yeah a bit, slept fine though
How do you feel now after knowing? Slightly pissed off but not majorly.

Best of luck everyone! {hugs all round}

Looks like I'm going to be first to answer my own thread

AAAAA!!! WOOOOOOOOOO! SOMEBODY GIVE ME A HAT!
(oh and an int 2 unit in music that I barely did anything for)

Good luck everybody!
Well done thats brilliant. I got the same as you when I did my highers. Advise i can give is if you need advanced highers you need to work for them. They're quite a bit tougher than highers. I have just learnt that the hard way.

np about the rep! i hardly ever come on these forums anymore and thought i might as well give it to somebody.

In all honesty i'm slightly pissed off with my results. Not majorly or anything; it won't affect my future but it's annoying cos thinking back if I worked this year i could have got AA or AB. It's nobody else fault but mine.

I think i'll use this as a lesson and work hard when i start uni.

What is it ur thinking of doing at uni?

Some kind of social science degree with lots of politics
It's good that you'll learn from this year . Better to work in uni, than now when you didn't need to.
