Just want to know this. If a student gets 80% in a foundation year assignment, by how much would this mark decrease under 1st year marking / expectations? Would it be equivalent to 50, 60, 70% in a first year assignment?

There is no real answer to this as it is subjective. But I would say if you're getting 60%+ then you're ready for the step up of the next year easy. It is all in the development

The mark wouldn't decrease really, you would have different learning objectives and marking criteria, it's a little Apples and Oranges. But if you can hit the learning outcomes at 60% or above, then again, you're ready to look to the next level.

My top grades didn't happen until University!
