    I want to do neurology at uni but I was wondering if you needed to do medicine first then specialise in that field

    Yes you do. A neurologist is a medical doctor. You can't study neurology at undergraduate level at uni, you would need to do a medical degree first.

    A neuroscientist may or may not be medically trained.

    If you want to be a neurologist then yes, you need to do medicine first. If you want to be a neuroscientist then no, not necessary.
